Why is it called a building if it is already built ?

When you are building something it is a verb (a doing word) Something is happening You are building ! When Building has been built it is a noun (a name) nothing is happening any more. Its an object. Building is a Gerund a noun made from a verb.
a noun made from a verb and action verb and can be made of Gerund.
